Nothing tastes better than success and this year at SANKALP '15 it's all about success. Come let's fill in the gap to make our own path to success.


Bot Dimension

• The dimension of autonomous bot should not exceed 20*20 cms.
• The dimension of manual bot should not exceed 20*20 cms.
• Maximum Supply is 12V.
• No lego kits are permitted.





Rules & Regulations

ROUND 1 :
• Two bots are required for this event. One autonomous bot and one manual bot.
• The autonomous bot will follow the black line.
• Bot needs to start from START POINT.
• For EVERY RESTART there is deduction of 100 points from total score.
• Maximum of 2 restarts is allowed.
• When the bot reaches the gap it should stop and the manual bot will have bring the box to complete the path for autonomous bot.
• Manual bot can only move when the autonomous bot will reach the gap.
• The maximum time allots to finish the competition is 5 min.
• If the bot is unable to reach to the other checkpoint restart can be done from previous checkpoint.
• There is one shortcut path of 1 cm wide.
• The Bot is liable for disqualification for damage of the arena.

ROUND 2 :
• Round arena will be disclosed on the final day itself.
• However no such modification will be necessary regarding the hardware of the bot.

• The rules are liable to change as under circumstances.
• If you can't bring a manual bot then we will provide you one.
• All rules are subject to change. The decision of the event coordinators is final and binding.





Arena

• The bot need to start from the start position and reach the finish position.
• The arena consists of a black line (BLACK LINE FOLLOWER) strip width of 2.5 cm (shortcut width is 1 cm) throughout.
• There are 2 checkpoint. 50 points will be added for reaching each check point.
• The arena consists of 2 elevated paths which needs to be replaced by the blocks provided nearby having dimensions 15*25*5 cms (L*B*H).
• The inclination will be not more than 10° (degree).

It's time to place your bot in the challenging arena comprising of all possible terrains like sand, pebbles, obstacles, bumpers, bridges, marbles, inclines, sea-saw, dips, cliffs, ramps, banks, etc.


Bot Specifications

• The maximum dimension of the robot can be 25 x 25 cms.
• The bots can be powered on-board as well as off-board.
• In case of off-board power supply the wires must be kept long enough to cover the whole track and wire should remain slack during the complete run.
• Max weight must not exceed 5 kg.
• The power supply will be provided maximum up to 18Volt.
• Readymade toys car are not allowed.





Arena

• Track width is 40 cm normally and it may change at some place.
• The track surface and course line may have unevenness.
• There will be a inclination, but this will not exceed 30 degrees.
• The design and size of the obstacles in the track which will try to slow down the bot.
• The arena will consist of various obstacle along with sand, bumpers, water, Depth of water etc.







Rules & Regulations

• This is a team event. The maximum number of participants allowed in a team is 4.
• A team may consist of students from different/same colleges.
• A participant cannot be a member of 2 different teams in this event.
• Any action violating fair play will lead to immediate disqualification.
• The decision of the coordinators will be final & binding.
• It should be noted that the main chassis should remain the same throughout the event.
• The participants will be provided with 220 volts, 50 Hz standard AC supply.
• There will be a maximum of 2 Restarts where the bot will be placed at the starting point and the clock will be set again, at the cost of a penalty.

• The event will be offline.
• Only one round will be conducted.
• Time Duration: 2.5 - 3 hours
• You will receive one point for solving a problem (passing all test cases - no partial credit), regardless of the level of difficulty of that problem.
• Users are ranked according to the most problems solved. Ties will be broken by the total time for each user in ascending order of time.
• The total time is the sum of the time consumed for each problem solved. The time consumed for a solved problem is the time elapsed from the beginning of the contest to the submittal of the first accepted run plus 20 penalty minutes for every previously rejected run for that problem. There is no time consumed for a problem that is not solved.
• Books/Written material are not allowed.

This competion is not about killing others but the time you kill, the knownledge you neglect. This competion is all about general knowledge which most of us neglect.

Prelims

Round 1 : Pen and Paper Round
• Written test for each team, 25 objective questions, 2 mark each.
• Total time is 30 minutes.
• No negative marking.

Round 2 : Buzzer Round
• Five questions based on analytical skills, general knowledge and technical ability.
• Each question carries 10 marks.
• Total time is 30 seconds per question.
• No negative marking.
• Passing of question to the next team is not allowed.
• Five non-technical questions will also be asked (related to sports, movies, politics etc.).
• Negative marking will be there and the question will not be passed.
• Each right answer will be given 10 marks and each wrong answer will be given - 5 (negative five).

Round 3 :

Level 1: Audio-Visual
• Total time 30 seconds per question.
• Each question carries 10 marks.
• No negative marking.

Level 2: Rapidex
• 1 minute for each team to answer maximum number of questions.
• Each question carries 10 marks.
• 5 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.

Round 4 :
• Will be conducted in case of tie.





Final

For Round 1 :
• There will be a cut off marks depending on the number of teams and their performance. Selected teams will go for round 2.

For Round 2 :
• A question will be fired & the team who presses the buzzer first get to answer first.
• 10 marks for the correct answer and negative 5 marks for the wrong or if team doesn’t answer after they press Buzzers. – No forwarding
• Answering time is only 30 seconds.

For Round 3:
Audio-visual round: Teams will be shown clips and will have to answer.
• 10 marks for the correct answer and negative 5 marks for the wrong answer.
• Each Team would be asked 2 audio-visual questions. ( 1 slide in each round )
• Answering time is 30 seconds.
• No passing the question to the next team.

Rapid Round:
• Each team will be asked 10 questions one after another
• 10 marks for the correct answer and negative 5 marks for the wrong answer.
• Answering time is 10 seconds.
• Team discussion is allowed
• If a team cannot answer the question, they can say pass for the next question. The question will not be forwarded to the next team and there will be no negative marking in this case.

There must be a positive and negative in everything in the universe in order to complete life or a circuit without which there would be no activity. Sankalp'15 invites you to play with wires and make the right connections to complete that ciruit.


Rules & Regulations

• Participants will be provided with all the tools and apparatus.
• This will be a 3 round event .
• First round will be a qualifying round in which participants will have to make (draw on a paper) the circuit according to the problem statement given.
• Second round will be an event in which participants have to find errors in the given circuit and fix the problem accordingly.
• In third round the participants will have to practically make the circuit in the bread board according to the problem given.
• Points will be given based on the cleanliness and efficiency of the circuit.
• The decisions of the decision making body will be final.
• Any kind of cheating and miscrepancy in the event will lead to the disqualification of the participants.

Rules & Regulations

• Game Version: Need For Speed: Most Wanted.
• The game has to be played only on keyboard. Any other controllers are not permitted.
• Tournament Format: 4 Players play at a time. The first two players to complete the race will advance to the next round (no. of players who advance to the next round is subject to total number of registrations for the game).
• Game Type: Circuit Sprint Speed Trap Lap Knockout (to be decided based on the stage of the tournament).
• Winning a race :
  Sprint/Circuit: Winner is the person who finishes the race first.
  Speed Trap/Lap Knockout: Winner is the person who finishes first or covers the most distance is no one finishes the race.
• At the end of each match, players must maintain the final screens and receive confirmation from a referee.
• All rules are subject to change. The decision of the event coordinators is final and binding.





Event Format

• Tournament Format: 4 Players play at a time. The first two players to complete the race will advance to the next round (no. of players who advance to the next round is subjected to total number of registrations for the game).

Disconnections

• Unintentional: If the disconnection is deemed to be unintentional by the referee, the match will be restarted. If any player does not agree to a match restart, that player will lose by default.

Rules & Regulations

• All games will be conducted in Fifa 11.
• A standard keyboard will be supplied to each participant. The participants are allowed to use their own keyboards/controllers if they wish to.
• Every participant must select their teams at the beginning of the tournament and stick to their team selection.
• If the connection disconnects at X minutes, then the match will be restarted and played for (90-X) minutes. Previous scores will be taken into account.
• A Red Card or two consecutive Yellow Cards will result in the suspension of the player in the next match.
• A yellow card for a player will be carried forward in the next match.
• Players are permitted a total of 3 player and strategy changes during a match. (The changes before the start of first and second half are not included in this count.)
• The teams' and players' abilities cannot be modified arbitrarily.
• Arriving late for a scheduled match may result in a forfeit at the discretion of the admin or the coordinator in charge.
• The admin and coordinators reserve the right to install additional software/updates and/or join as an observer for tournament operations purposes, such as verifying match results or gathering match data.

Format

Knockout Stage:

• 1 vs. 1 match.
• Fixtures will be decided via random selection by the admins.
• Player scoring maximum goals after 90 minutes wins the match.
• If, after 90 minutes, the game ends in a draw, two extra time periods of 15 minutes each shall be played. If the score remains tied after extra time, penalty kicks will decide the winner.
• Team selection: National and Club teams may be selected by the players. The players are allowed to choose the same team.
• The host and client for each match will be decided by a coin toss conducted by the admin or coordinators.

• If a player is found to be intentionally delaying the game time by passing the ball around in his half, he will be warned. Should he persist, he shall be disqualified from the tournament.

• The Half-Life Counter-Strike PC game championship 5x5 (team play, 5 members per team).

• Student must have their respective ID Card of there respective college or school or otherwise you will be not allowed to play.
• The Tournament Organizers reserves the right to cancel or modify the tournament rules if fraud, technical failure or any other factor beyond reasonable control, impairs the integrity of the tournament.

Tournament Game Rules

• A game consists of 2 periods, each period including 10 rounds.
• A round lasts 1.75 minutes. One period as terrorists and the other as counter-terrorists.
• For each team depending upon the perticipents teams and it is rush to 11 except semifinal and final.
• In the incident of a tie, there will be a tie breaker match.
• In the tournament, maps are to be chosen by tossing between team captains.
• A knife-round is used to decide which team plays Counter-Terrorist and which team plays Terrorist. The winner of the knife-round picks their role before the first half of the match. Roles switch in the second half of the match.
• If a team is not present on the tournament server at the start of the scheduled time, the other team chooses map and the side (CT or T).
• Team members may not communicate (speak) when he or she is "dead" in the game. The only exception is when all team members are eliminated in the game.
• Only the team captains are allowed to send public messages (messagemode1 or "y") during the game. The rest of the players are not allowed to use messagemode1; failure to meet this rule would lead to team penalties. The players can send only team messages (messagemode2 or "u") during the match.
• No auto MAG , AWP allowed only.
• Bomb timings will be 30sec.
• Starting money will be provided is $800.
• Semi and Final match will be rushed to 16

In Cases of Disconnections and PC Crashes

• Disconnection is any network connection break occurring during the match and caused by system faults, network problems, PC errors or power failure etc.
• In case of disconnection in first round while none of players were "killed" round is restart.
• In case of disconnection in any other round, game is restarted from $4000 until the last player has connected.
game score is recorded and game period is restarted.
• In case of an intentional disconnection, the offending team might be announced the loser.





Cheating and Rule Violation

• The Server Admin has the right to disqualify and dismiss any registered player from the tournament, at their discretion, at any stage of the tournament, or any reason, with no prior warning to the player.
• Any protests or disagreements with tournament rulings must be made directly to the Server Admin in a reasonable manner at the time of the incident, at which time a prompt decision will be made. The Server Admin's decisions are final.
• Any competitor or team attempting to use ANY exploit in a map shall be immediately disqualified and may be removed from the event.
• Any form of cheating, including but not limited to intentional disconnects, ping flooding, server crashing, etc., will result in immediate disqualification of the competitor and/or team.
• The below items are considered as cheating :
  1. Using cheat software.
  2. Intentional disconnection.
  3. Using any settings other than standard and permitted.
  5. Using scroll bind for duck.
